The Wheelchair Alliance is committed to the guidance and empowerment of those who use a wheelchair, their families and carers in the UK. We work hard to ensure the right voices are heard by the right people, and drive forward lasting positive change.
Carers MK – An independent charity and a company limited by guarantee, established in 2006 to support unpaid carers in the Milton Keynes area.
Deaf Support – Milton Keynes deaf support services located in Tingrith. Includes advice for BSL students, communication support, support for tutors and offers details of a calendar of events.
Enrych – Dedicated to assisting adults with a physical disability take part and enjoy a range of leisure activities such as swimming, sports and much more. Check out their site for details of how to get involved.
Families and Carers Together – FACT Bucks, short for Families and Carers Together in Buckinghamshire, is a group of parents and professionals, who meet to discuss real issues that affect children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in Buckinghamshire.
Milton Keynes Centre for Independent Living (MK CIL) – MK CIL is an information centre which provides a very wide range of free and confidential information on any disability related issue for people with a disability, their families, carers, and anyone else with an interest in the field of disability.
Horizon Sports Club – Sports for children and young people with disabilities.
Milton Keynes ME Group – MK MEG is a small self-help group, run mostly by people with ME/CFS/PVFS/FMS, with the help of a few carers. The group is affiliated to Action for ME.
Muscular Dystrophy UK – Thames and Wessex Muscle Group – The Thames and Wessex Muscle Group is a great opportunity to get involved, meet people and their families in the region affected by muscular dystrophy or a related condition and share information and advice through peer to peer support.
